I am back once again, and I'd love to share with you some wonderful music by none other than the lovely Avett Brothers. Please please take some time to listen. Their work is amazing. I've been listening to them literally nonstop. The album is called I And Love And You. Here are a few songs...

On Christmas Eve, I got to see my best friend Caroline and my friend Tiffany. We've been a crazy trio ever since I was about 10. They have definitely helped to shape me into what I am today, so it was nice to see them. Caroline was the one who showed me The Avett Brothers and burned me the CD so kudos to her.
Also, I'd like to say that Christmas went pretty smooth this year. I got a Forever Lazy, which I wanted really bad. There is a picture of me in it, but quite frankly, I'd rather not share that ;) I went to Mass and then to my aunt and uncle's house where we played Dirty Santa. They even had the hot tub all ready to go; funny enough they won it on the popular TV show The Price is Right. Although because I promised my best friend I would be over after venturing to my aunt and uncle's, I opted to not get in. Come on though! Who else sits in a hot tub on Christmas day in Ohio? When I got to my Ashley's house, we exchanged presents. I got her a JacVanek T-shirt, diabetic socks (for some reason she wanted these really bad?), Toblerone (the best chocolate in the world), and I made her a personalized Calendar. I got it laminated and everything, and I got her some cute dry erase markers to go with it. I think she really liked everything. She got me an Audrey Hepburn T-shirt, which I love and cannot wait to wear, a mini Garden gnome with a book to go with it (I love gnomes), and her mom got me Rubber Ducky pajamas. It was a good day overall, but all day I kept reminding myself that it wasn't about the gifts, but the love you share.

Woops!!
I forgot to also say that on Sunday, I sang in two Christmas shows for Starmaker Performing Arts Center. I sang my own rendition of Michael Buble's, "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas." I hope to soon have a youtube dedicated to my covers of songs. I'll let you know when I get around to that.
Hannukah, friends, and music
This past Saturday, I went to a Hannukah party at my dear friend, Lani's house. It was fabulous. The food was just to die for, and I played Dradle for the first time, and I really sucked. Last year I had some prior engagements and ended up missing all the activities and what not. Glad I could endulge in some super awesome Jewish traditions this year. :)
I have included a picture of my friends as dradles.
On Monday, I took master classes from my friend, Katie Hazard, who currently resides in Los Angeles, California. However, she came home for Christmas and taught some amazing combos to those of us who were there. I had a blast, and it felt so very good to be taking class once again (a class other than ballet, modern, or tap) I miss her so much.
On Tuesday, being the proud 'big sister' that I am, I went to Lani's Christmas choir concert. I was very impressed and so glad I got to be there. I used to be really big on choir in high school, and it was nice to see Lani was a part of it too. I love her so much.
I think I'll leave it at that for now as there's not much to say about this rather unproductive day. Although, I would like to tell all of you to please listen to the album I And Love And You by The Avett Brothers. I am in love, and it has been on repeat all night.
Adios amigos.

What can I say? It's Christmas break..
1. My new jacvanek gear came in the other day and I am very excited.
2. While I was breaking down boxes to recycle today, I dropped my phone on the pavement, and the front screen shattered.
3. I'm going Christmas shopping tomorrow... should be chaos.
4. I really need to workout soon.
5. I'm going to one of my best friend's Hannukah party on Saturday.
6. I'm helping someone wrap 60 presents tonight.
7. I ended up with a 3.5 GPA this semester.
8. I'm singing in two Christmas shows on Sunday.
9. I ordered Jimmy Johns by myself yesterday.
10. I woke up close to 2 pm today.
Slan. :)

Being Christmasy...... for once.
Tonight, I invaded the 'North Pole' with some of my fellow Alpha Gams; it was quite amusing. It was also really rewarding to watch the little kids waving at us from the train. We were dressed in elf, snow man, reindeer, Christmas tree, and gingerbread man costumes, and yes, we looked absolutely ridiculous. But that didn't matter, of course. To show you a little bit more of what it was like, I have a picture. Surprise surprise.
Chao. ;)

Was it Broadway on my mind?
How I am currently feeling:
I was only 17 when the feeling came to me
Felt the lights surrounding me, subway beats under my feet
I could feel the energy, of every block and city street
It’s New York city ya'll
And every person I would meet
Was the world and just a peek
Teaching me the hearts of heart
Always finish what I start
I could feel its energy
Constantly transforming me
Now you’re in New York, concrete jungle where dreams are made of
There’s nothing you can’t do
Cause you’re in New York
These streets will make you feel brand new
Big lights will inspire you
Cause you’re in New York, New York, New York
Was it Broadway on my mind, that made me see my name in lights
Was it Lennox Avenue, that said be careful what you do
Or maybe it was just the cold, that made the spring of my life gold
It’s New York city ya'll
Or maybe it was that parade, that made you feel like holiday
Or the parties through the night, that don’t get out until the light
All I know it’s bad and good
But it feels the way it should, yeah
It’s New York city, ya'll
Now you’re in New York, concrete jungle where dreams are made of
There’s nothing you can’t do
Cause you’re in New York
These streets will make you feel brand new
Big lights will inspire you
Now you’re in New York, New York, New York
Don’t stop this train, don’t stop this train, don't stop this train
I fell in love, this is where my heart is
Don’t stop this train, don’t stop this train.

I want to get there too.
Recently, I have had to come to terms with the fact that some people in my life will be going on their way soon. They are all finding their own paths for what they want to do in life. And then there's me. I want so badly to move on with my life, away from the college scene. I want to go to New York City so I can be a starving artist. I want to go to auditions everyday and fail so I can succeed; so I can learn. I just want to be anywhere but here. For those of you big dreamers: keep dreaming. Keep pushing for what you want. One day it will be worth it.

I'm back.
I haven't blogged in a long time, so I thought I would. Currently, I am sitting at the hospital as part of a support system for a friend. Her parents are talking, and her sister (my best friend) is laying on the bed with her. And me? Well I'm just observing; it's actually quite interesting and not really boring at all. My best friend and I explore the halls and secret rooms, take laps around the wing... and eat. Last night, we resorted to the vending machines. I had a 3 musketeers bar, and let me tell you, it was scrumptious. Now, we are sitting here watching Law and Order. My, this show has changed, but I still love it. It's cool being here because I get to keep someone company and for once, just chill out.
That's all for now. Until next time my friends.
